1. Evaluate whether the patient is suitable for the use of electric knife, select the appropriate brand of electric knife according to the operation, and check whether the power supply and electrode cables are broken and metal wires are exposed;
2, Select and check the negative plate, check the wire and chuck; Choose the size and shape of the appropriate negative plate (15KG infants should choose special plates for infants), check the adhesive force of conductive glue.
3. Assess the patient's skin, select the appropriate site to install the negative plate and connect the negative plate plug to the machine.
4. Connect the electric pen with the machine, start up the self-test, show that the plate is installed correctly without alarm indication, adjust the output power.
5, After use, correctly shut down and remove the negative plate, check the skin below the plate, and clean the electric knife and pen with wiping method (no blister washing).
About disinfection of electric surgical pencil :
1, the electrode can be sterilized by high temperature and high pressure method (134℃ 3-5 minutes, 121 ℃ 10-20 minutes).
2. Disinfection with ethylene oxide: after packaging, put the medal in 16-24 hours, and can be used after degradation in the air environment for one hour.
3. Soak in 2% glutaraldehyde for 30 minutes and rinse with normal saline (using this method will affect the service life of the electrode).
4. Before using the electric knife, the tool head should be installed before checking the electric knife loop (energized). Energized is also a secondary disinfection process.
It is recommended to choose surgical accessories that can be sterilized at high temperature. Sterilization at high temperature and high pressure (134 degrees Celsius) is more effective and efficient. For example, electric coagulation forceps can be disinfected at high temperature, hand control knife can be disinfected at high temperature.
